Ctd 12.5 MG Description
CTD 12.5 tablet is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure. It contains chlorthalidone, which belongs to a diuretic group of medicine. It lowers blood pressure by increasing the excretion of water and sodium through urine.
It is to be taken with food at a fixed time of day as prescribed by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding and about all the medicines and supplements you take and all the conditions or diseases you suffer from, before starting CTD 12.5 tablet.
If you have kidney or liver problems, urination issues, gout, diabetes mellitus or are on a low-salt diet, inform your doctor before taking 12.5 tablets. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use CTD 12.5MG. It may cause dizziness when standing up or moving suddenly, so be careful when driving or using heavy machinery.
CTD 12.5 tablet may also affect electrolyte levels, leading to muscle weakness, twitching, abnormal heartbeat, tiredness, confusion or headache. Your doctor will monitor your electrolyte levels regularly during treatment with CTD 12.5 tablet to prevent this.
