Creolip 10mg Tab 10'S contains rosuvastatin. It is a hypolipidemic belonging to the family of medicines called statins. It is used for the lowering of the levels of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) in the body.

How Does It Work?
The medicine inhibits the enzyme HMG - CoA reductase, which is responsible for the formation of cholesterol in the body. This results in lower levels of LDL in the body.

The tablet should be taken with water, preferably at the same time every day.

Interactions with other medicines
- Can cause rhabdomyolysis when consumed with fusidic acid (or within seven days of stopping it)
- Can increase the risk of myopathy when consumed with other cholesterol-lowering medications
- Interacts with amiodarone, diltiazem, verapamil and antacids
- Levels can be reduced by cyclosporin, warfarin, oral contraceptive pills, itraconazole, ketoconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, telithromycin and HIV protease inhibitors
Interactions with food items
Grapefruit juice should be avoided during treatment as it interacts with the medicine.
