Coversyl tablet is a medication used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). It contains a combination of perindopril and amlodipine as active substances and is used for the management of high blood pressure. It is important to take Coversyl tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medication on your own. Before starting Coversyl tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, and provide your complete medical history. If you become pregnant during treatment with this medication, discontinue its use as soon as possible.

Contraindications of COVERSYL AM 4/10MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

If you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, other ACE inhibitors, or any other ingredient of Coversyl tablet.
If you have a history of swelling under the skin (angioedema) with or without the use of medicines called ACE inhibitors.
If you have diabetes and are taking a medicine that contains Aliskiren.

Pregnancy

Can I take Coversyl tablet during pregnancy?

Coversyl tablet should not be taken during pregnancy unless recommended by the doctor after assessing the need and the risk. If pregnancy is detected during treatment with this medicine, discontinue the use of this medicine as soon as possible.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Coversyl tablet during breastfeeding?

Coversyl tablet is not advised for breastfeeding mothers. This medication passes into breastmilk in trace levels, which may harm your baby, particularly if he or she is a newborn or was born prematurely. Please contact your doctor about a safer alternative.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Coversyl tablet?

Please avoid driving if you experience any effects after taking this medicine that may affect your ability to drive safely.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Coversyl tablet?

Avoid drinking alcohol while taking Coversyl tablet as it could lower your blood pressure and cause dizziness or fainting.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant.
You are taking medicines called ACE inhibitors like captopril, and enalapril and develop symptoms like swelling of the face, legs, hands, lips, tongue, glottis, and larynx.
You have narrowing or blockage of the blood vessels that supply blood to the heart (coronary artery disease).
You develop heart-related chest pain after taking this medicine.
You have low fluid or salt due to severe diarrhoea/vomiting, low dietary salt intake, dialysis, or prolonged use of diuretics.
You have a narrowing of the aortic valve of the heart (aortic stenosis).
You are scheduled for surgery with anaesthesia.
You have kidney disorders.
You have diabetes.
You are taking medicines called potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and/or potassium-containing salt substitutes.

Take Coversyl tablet at the same time each day, even if you feel well. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor.

Storage and disposal of COVERSYL AM 4/10MG STRIP OF 10 TABLETS

Store at 25°C in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
Keep out of reach of children and pets.
