Medical Description

Contractubex gel is a combination medicine used for managing the scars due to various conditions. It contains cepae extract fluid, heparin, allantoin as active ingredients. This gel acts as an anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and counter irritant (provide relief from itching). This medicine also acts by lightening the dark spots or improving pigmentation caused due to scars. It aids in faster healing of the skin. Contractubex gel is only recommended to use external only. Wash your hands before and after applying this gel. It is recommended not to use this medicine without your doctor's suggestion.

A: There is limited data about the use of Contractubex gel and its excretion in breast milk. It is recommended to consult your doctor before using this gel. It should not be applied to the breast of breastfeeding mothers or elsewhere on large areas of skin or for a prolonged period of time.

Q: What should I do if my eyes come in contact with Contractubex gel?

A: If accidentaly the Contractubex gel gets into your eye, than rinse it with water thoroughly. Keep your eyes open when you rinse.

Q: How long should I apply Contractubex?

A: You should apply Contractubex for as long as suggested by the doctor. It is usually advised for at least 3 months. Contractubex is extremely well-tolerated, even in the course of long-term use.

Q: Does Contractubex gel work on older scars?

A: Yes, you must follow the instructions directed by the doctor. Even scars that are over a year old can be treated. Some older scars dry out and become hard, in that case, Contractubex should be massaged thoroughly for at least 5-6 months every day, as advised by the doctor.
