Colimex Drops are commonly prescribed for children to relieve stomach pain, cramps, bloating, and gas. They contain two active ingredients: dicyclomine, which relaxes the smooth muscles in the digestive tract to reduce cramps and discomfort, and simethicone, which breaks down trapped gas bubbles in the stomach and intestines, making it easier to pass and relieving bloating.
These drops are especially useful for infants and young children who frequently experience colic, indigestion, or gas-related discomfort. Colimex drops are usually administered orally, either directly or mixed with a small amount of water or milk to make them easier for children to take.
The dosage depends on the child’s age, weight, and medical condition. It is very important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your paediatrician carefully. Do not give more than the prescribed amount, as an overdose may cause harmful side effects. Parents should never self-medicate or adjust the dose without medical advice.
