Medical Description

Clobium 5 mg tablet is a prescription medicine advised to a person suffering from seizures (fits). It is mainly recommended to a person with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, a type of epilepsy. It can also be prescribed to a person suffering from anxiety. Clobium Tablet has Clobazam as the active ingredient. Clobazam is an anxiolytic and anticonvulsant (medication that can help in fits). It works by regulating certain natural chemicals that decrease the brain's electrical activity and relieves the symptoms. Clobium tablets can exhibit certain side effects like tiredness, vomiting, constipation, change in appetite, difficulty in speaking and swallowing. Clobium tablets have been found to cause skin rashes in the first eight weeks of the treatment. In case if you notice any rash, inform the doctor straight away.   • Doxycycline (antibiotic)- it can decrease the excretion of Clobazam and thus increases the concentration of ClobazCloam in the body
  • Hydroxyzine (antiallergic)- it can increase the depressive effect on nervous system
