- Clobium is used in a person with-
- Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome(type of epilepsy)
- Anxiety
Contraindications
- Clobium 5 mg tablet is contraindicated if -
- You are hypersensitive or allergic to Clobazam or any of its ingredients
- You have a history of drug or alcohol dependence
- You have a Myasthenia gravis (muscular disorder)
- You have respiratory depression (respiratory disorder)
- You have severe liver disorder

- You have any kind of history of kidney, muscular or mental disorder
- You are taking any medicine for any sort of issue even if it is an antacid, always inform your doctor about every medicine you are taking
- You consume any vitamins or supplements
- You have suicidal thoughts
- You notice a rash on the skin after taking medicine
- You take birth control pills. Clobium tablets can decrease the efficacy of birth control pills, so it is recommended to adopt other methods of contraception to be safe
- You want to alter the dose or stop the medicine. Stopping the medicine abruptly can lead to certain side effects and worsen the situation. The medicine has to be withdrawn gradually.
Directions for Use
- Clobium 5 mg tablet should be taken only with a doctor’s approval. You can take a Clobium tablet with or without food
- It is important to follow a strict routine and have the tablet at the same time every day
- Clobium tablet has to be taken orally with some water. Do not distort the tablet by crushing or breaking it for use

Interactions with other medicines
- Clobium tablet can interact with certain medications-
- Hydrocodone, Codeine (other benzodiazepine and opioids)- can lead to increased sedation, drowsiness
- Aceclofenac, Acetaminophen (painkillers)- can affect the time taken to get rid of clobazam and also increase the side effects
- Alprazolam ( anti-anxiety medicine), Levocetirizine (anti-allergic medicine)- increase the severity of side effects
- Fluconazole (antifungal), Omeprazole (used for stomach issues), Ciprofloxacin (antibiotic)- can decrease the metabolism of Clobazam
- Doxycycline (antibiotic)- it can decrease the excretion of Clobazam and thus increases the concentration of ClobazCloam in the body
- Hydroxyzine (antiallergic)- it can increase the depressive effect on nervous system
