Cilamin 250mg Strip Of 10 Capsules
Description
Cilamin capsule contains penicillamine, which is a chelating agent used to remove excess copper from the body. It is mainly used in the treatment of Wilson’s disease, a genetic condition in which copper accumulates in organs like the liver and brain and causes damage.
This medicine is also used to reduce cystine levels in the urine in patients with cystinuria. Cystinuria is a hereditary condition that causes kidney stones due to excessive cystine accumulation.
Cilamin capsule may also be used in patients with severe, active rheumatoid arthritis who have not responded adequately to other conventional treatments. It helps reduce disease activity and improves symptoms such as joint pain and swelling.
It is a prescription medicine that must be used under strict medical supervision because it may cause serious side effects. Regular monitoring and follow-up are necessary during treatment.
