Medical Description
Cetil-CV 500 Tablet is an antibiotic medicine used to treat bacterial infections of tonsils, throat, sinus, ears, respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin infections and sexually transmitted diseases. Cetil-CV is a combination of cefuroxime and clavulanic acid as an active ingredient. Cefuroxime is a cephalosporin antibiotic that acts by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis of bacteria. Clavulanic acid acts by inhibiting the enzyme made by bacteria; this will help cefuroxime to function optimally. Cetil-CV 500 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and at the exact dose and duration as prescribed. You can take this medicine with or without food, but at the same time daily for a better outcome. Do not stop taking this medicine even if you start feeling better after starting the treatment with Cetil-CV 500 tablet.
