Directions for Use

Wash your hands before use. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid to make a small pocket, and put in the number of drops your doctor has advised into the affected eye. Do not let the dropper tip touch the eye or any surface. Close the eye and press gently on the inner corner near the nose for about a minute, then wipe off any extra liquid. Keep using Bitod Ls eye drop for as long as your doctor tells you, even if your eyes feel fine, as high eye pressure often has no warning signs.

Storage and disposal

Store Bitod Ls eye drop at room temperature, away from direct sunlight and freezing. Keep the bottle tightly closed and out of the reach of children. Do not use the liquid if it looks cloudy, changes colour, or has particles. Throw away the bottle within the time stated on the label after opening.

Quick Tips

  • Use Bitod Ls eye drop at the time of day your doctor advises, and try to keep to that same time.
  • This medicine may slowly darken the coloured part of the eye, and this change can be lasting.
  • Your eyelashes may grow longer, thicker, or darker, and the skin around the eye may darken. This usually fades after stopping the medicine.
  • Take out contact lenses before use and wait as advised before putting them back.
  • Do not stop using it on your own, as eye pressure can rise again without you noticing.

Dosage

Overdose

Using extra drops is not likely to cause serious harm to the eye. If you think you have taken too much of this medicine, contact your doctor immediately or visit the nearest hospital.

Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

The eye is always making a clear fluid that then drains away. When it drains too slowly, fluid builds up and the pressure inside the eye rises, which can harm your sight over time. Bimatoprost helps this fluid drain out of the eye more easily. As more fluid leaves, the pressure inside the eye drops to a safer level.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Bitod Ls eye drop works, and it can affect how other eye medicines work. Tell your doctor about all the medicines and eye drops you use. In particular, if you are using other eye drops that lower eye pressure, leave a gap of a few minutes between each one so they do not wash each other out.
