Medical Description

Benizep is a capsule containing the active ingredients Chlordiazepoxide and Mebeverine. It is a combination medicine that contains a synthetic anticholinergic and a psycoleptic agent. Chlordiazepoxide is primarily used to relieve anxiety. It is given before giving anaesthesia, as a sedative, a hypnotic and in the treatment of acute alcohol withdrawal. This medicine also helps in reducing the incidence of withdrawal-related seizures and alters normal excitatory function of the body.
