Description

Benizep is a capsule containing the active ingredients Chlordiazepoxide and Mebeverine. It is a combination medicine that contains a synthetic anticholinergic and a psycoleptic agent. Chlordiazepoxid

e is primarily used to relieve anxiety. It is given before giving anaesthesia, as a sedative, a hypnotic and in the treatment of acute alcohol withdrawal. This medicine also helps in reducing the incidence of withdrawal-related seizures and alters normal excitatory function of the body. Mebeverine is used to relieve spasm and relaxes the intestinal muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. It reduces the gastric acid secretion and gastrointestinal propulsion affecting the intestinal motility.
