Directions for Use of Anxit 0.5 MG

Anxit Tablets is generally prescribed as a long-term medication and should be taken regularly.
For optimal pharmacological effects, maintain a proper schedule and take the Anxit Tab at the same time every day.
Anxit Tablets can be taken with or without food. However, it is better to take it with food to avoid any stomach issues.
Do not discontinue Anxit Tablet without consulting your doctor, even if you feel better than before. It can worsen the present situation.
You should consume the Anxit Tablet as a whole tablet with some water. Do not crush, chew, or break it.

Interactions with other medicines

To avoid adverse side effects associated with medicine interaction, please inform your doctor about all medicines and supplements you are currently taking.
Anxit Tablets react with the following medicines:
Aceclofenac (painkiller)- can affect the excretion of alprazolam
Acetaminophen (painkiller), nefazodone (antidepressant), delavirdine (antiviral)- can affect the metabolism of alprazolam
Fluoxetine (antidepressant), erythromycin, rifamycin (antibiotics)- can increase the concentration of alprazolam in the body
Hydrocodone, tramadol(opioid painkiller)- can lead to depressive effects on the nervous system
Codeine (in cough syrups, painkillers)- can increase the severity of side effects if taken along with alprazolam

Interactions with food items

Avoid consumption of grapefruit juice or its products with Anxit 0.5 mg Tablets.
Other than this, a regular diet can be continued unless advised otherwise by the doctor.
