Directions for Use
- Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet must be taken as per the doctor’s prescription.
- Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet can be taken with or without food.
- Make sure to swallow the Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it.
- Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet must be taken at the same time as per prescription to ensure better efficacy and benefits

- Symptoms of an overdose of Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablets can be fatal and include central nervous system depression leading to drowsiness and coma.
- Overdose may also produce serious symptoms like uncontrolled shaking of a part of the body, seizure, difficulty in breathing, fainting and blurred vision, low blood pressure, and confusion.
- If you have taken more than the prescribed amount of the Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablets, reach out to your doctor or the nearest hospital immediately.

Interactions with other medicines
- Seek medical advice before taking Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet if you are already taking medicines for the treatment of depression, such as St. John’s Wort, sertraline, and fluoxetine. These medicines may cause toxicity and produce symptoms of overdose of Alkepin tablets.
- Medicines used for the treatment of anxiety and sleep disturbances when taken with Alkepin Odt 12.5mg Tablet may lead to serious side effects.
- The following medicines, when taken with Alkepin tablet, may become ineffective:
- Phenytoin (epilepsy treatment)
- Adrenaline and noradrenaline (treatment of high or low blood pressure)
- Omeprazole (treatment of stomach problems)
- Ketoconazole (treatment of fungal infections)
- Medicines to decrease the risk of bleeding, such as warfarin, and medicines for the treatment of heart problems, such as digoxin, may produce toxicity and serious side effects when taken with Alkepin tablets.
- Antibiotics, such as erythromycin, and medicines to treat depression, such as citalopram, may cause problems in heart activity when taken with Alkepin tablets.
- Atropine, a medicine used in eye drops and cough syrups, may cause excessive sleepiness and even coma when taken with Alkepin tablets.
