Medical Description
Algisod suspension provides relief from heartburn and indigestion. It treats acidity and indigestion, providing relief while also addressing heartburn and gas issues such as bloating and belching. Algisod suspension works by neutralizing stomach acid in the body, alleviating abdominal pain and stomach discomfort.
The key ingredients, including sodium alginate, work to form a thick, gel-like layer in the stomach. Calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate react with stomach acid to release bubbles of carbon dioxide. This reaction allows the gel to form a strong protective barrier on top of the stomach contents, preventing the stomach acid from flowing back into the oesophagus.
