Missed a Dose

If you missed any dose of medicine, take it as soon as you remember. If it's time for your next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dose schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for the missed one.

How does this medicine work?

Bisoprolol fumarate slows the heart rate and reduces the force with which the heart pumps. This lowers blood pressure and reduces the heart's workload.

Some medicines can affect the way bisoprolol works and may lower the heart rate or blood pressure too much. Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, and herbal products you use. In particular, report other beta blockers, digoxin, clonidine, verapamil or diltiazem, medicines for abnormal heart rhythm, and medicines for diabetes.

Interactions with food items

Food does not usually change the absorption of bisoprolol. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you have concerns.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
