Addnok tablet is a prescription medicine used for managing symptoms caused due to addiction to opioid-related medication. It reduces withdrawal symptoms when the person suddenly stops using those med
ications. It is also used to manage moderate to severe pain, which is not responding to regular pain relievers that are not opioid-based. Addnok tablet consists of Buprenorphine as its active ingredient. It belongs to the class of opioid or narcotic pain reliever medicines. It works by blocking the pain signals from reaching the injury site on the body. It also increases certain chemical substances that help in reducing pain and producing a calming effect. This medicine does have some side effects. Most of them will subside and do not need any medical attention. Consult a doctor if they persist. Addnok tablet should be used as advised by the doctor. Do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding without consulting your doctor. This can also cause withdrawal symptoms like sweating, pain, nausea, vomiting, etc., if you stop using it for a long time. It may also lower fertility in men and women in rare cases.

Uses of Addnok 0.2 MG
- As per CDSCO, the Addnok tablet is used to treat moderate to severe pain conditions that are responding to opioid pain relievers and are not adequately responding to non-opioid pain relievers.
- It is used to manage pain in post-operative pain, heart muscle pain, before surgery, etc.
- It is also used for managing withdrawal symptoms (pain, irritation, sweating, increased heart rate, etc.) due to opioid medication addiction.
Contraindications of Addnok 0.2 MG
- If you are allergic to any composing unit of Addnok tablets
- If you have been on certain antidepressant medications in the last two weeks.
- If you have respiratory depression, this medicine can cause severe depression and slows down respiration which can be life-threatening.
- If you are diagnosed with myasthenia gravis (a condition that causes muscle weakness). This medicine can worsen the condition.
- If you have breathing difficulties because of any chronic condition like asthma.
- If you are pregnant, this medicine can cause withdrawal symptoms in the child.
- If you are planning to get pregnant, this medicine may lower fertility in women.
