Abhayrab-PF vaccine is used for the protection of adults and children against rabies.
Contraindications of Abhayrab Pf 2.5 IU
- If you are allergic to the active substance or any other ingredient of the Abhayrab-PF vaccine like purified chick embryo cells, chicken proteins (ovalbumin), human serum albumin, neomycin, amphotericin B, or chlortetracycline....
- If you have any acute disease that requires treatment other than minor infections like cold, the vaccination will be postponed until you or your child have recovered.

How Does It Work?
Abhayrab-PF vaccine causes the body to produce antibodies called rabies neutralizing antibodies (RAN) against the rabies viruses and to keep on producing them. Antibodies are proteins that protect the individual against infection caused by viruses. This means that when your body is exposed to the rabies virus, it will be able to defend itself. This is known as active immunization and hence, the Abhayrab-PF vaccine is said to provide active immunity to the vaccinated individual....

- This vaccine will be given in the hospital by your doctor or nurse.
- Do not self-inject this medicine. Follow any aftercare instructions given by the doctor or nurse.

Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Abhayrab-PF vaccine works or Abhayrab-PF vaccine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.

- The ability of the body to produce antibodies (proteins that protect the individual against infection caused by viruses) may be decreased if you or your child are using medicines that suppress the immune system (corticosteroids) or have a weak immune system....
