Medical Description
Telmikind 40 tablet is a blood pressure-lowering medicine. It is used for the treatment of high blood pressure. This medicine is also helpful in reducing the chances of heart disease, stroke or death in high-risk patients. It contains telmisartan as an active ingredient. Telmikind 40 tablet works by blocking the action of natural substances responsible for narrowing blood vessels, helping to reduce pressure inside blood vessels and allowing the heart to pump efficiently.
Some other tablets containing telmisartan are Telma 40mg tablet, Tazloc 40mg tablet, Telvas 40mg tablet, Telista 40mg tablet, and Telsartan 40mg tablet. Hypertension is a condition where blood pressure increases within the blood vessels. High blood pressure is a critical health condition; if not treated well can lead to other health-related complications and affect other parts of the body such as the brain, heart, blood vessels and kidneys.
Along with Telmikind 40, you should also incorporate certain lifestyle modifications. You should include a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising for 30 mins every day, not smoking and limiting alcohol consumption.
Telmikind 40 must not be used during pregnancy. If pregnancy is detected, treatment must be discontinued. You should take this medicine with or without food and at the same time every day. Do not stop taking this medication or skip this medicine on your own. Abrupt stopping of Telmikind 40 may worsen your health condition.
