Telmikind 40 Tablet

• If you are allergic to telmisartan or any other ingredients of Telmikind 40 tablet.
• If you are suffering from any serious liver disease.
• If you have diabetes or severe kidney impairment and you are been treated with Aliskiren (a medicine used to treat high blood pressure).
• If you have blockage of any duct that carries bile from the liver to the gallbladder (obstructive biliary disorders).
• If you are in the second or third trimester of pregnancy.

Other General Warnings

• You have kidney disease or had a kidney transplant or liver disease.
• You have a narrow or block in the blood vessels of one or both kidneys.
• You are having diarrhoea, and vomiting as this causes dehydration and leads to low blood pressure. Consume plenty of water and fluids.
• You suffer from water and salt retention in the body along with an imbalance of blood minerals (raised aldosterone levels).
• You have an increased level of potassium in the blood.
• You are diabetic, and have a low blood pressure problem (hypotension) or heart disorder.
• You are taking blood pressure-lowering medicines like ramipril or lisinopril.

• Store Telmikind 40 tablets in a cool and dry place.
• Keep it away from children and pets.

• Telmikind 40mg tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine. It is prescribed by doctors to treat high blood pressure. This medication can also help reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke or death in high-risk patients.
• This medicine should not be used if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant or breastfeeding. Your baby could be seriously harmed. If you become pregnant while taking this medication, stop taking it immediately and consult your doctor. Also, inform your doctor about all your other medicines and your complete medical history.
• Telmikind 40 mg should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. For better blood pressure control, take it at the same time every day, low-fat, low-salt diet, maintain a healthy weight, exercise for 30 minutes daily, not smoke and limit alcohol consumption.
• It's important to check your blood pressure while taking this tablet regularly.
• Headache, stomach pain, diarrhoea and nausea/vomiting may occur in some individuals with the use of Telmikind 40mg tablet. Inform your doctor if these effects bother you or do not go away.
• If you experience dizziness or sleepiness after this medication, it is recommended to avoid driving, operating heavy machinery or performing any such tasks that require mental alertness.
• Telmikind 40 should be taken exactly as prescribed by the doctor. For better blood pressure control, take it at the same time every day.
• Missing a dose of your blood pressure medication can lead to serious health problems. If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember.
• It is recommended to avoid foods high in potassium.
