Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Poliomyelitis Virus Type 3+Poliomyelitis Virus Type 2+Poliomyelitis Virus Type 1+Tetanus Toxoid+Haemophilus B Conjugate Vaccine+Diphtheria Immune Globulin+Pertussis Vaccine is a combination vaccine designed to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies against six serious diseases: diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (whooping cough), hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, and Haemophilus influenzae type b (Hib). Poliomyelitis Virus Type 3+Poliomyelitis Virus Type 2+Poliomyelitis Virus Type 1+Tetanus Toxoid+Haemophilus B Conjugate Vaccine+Diphtheria Immune Globulin+Pertussis Vaccine contains inactivated components, or antigens, from each of these pathogens, which do not cause disease but are sufficient to trigger an immune response. This process helps the body "learn" to recognize and fight these infections if exposed in the future, providing active immunity.
