Molecule Description
Clindamycin + Benzoyl Peroxide is a combination topical medicine used to treat acne. It contains clindamycin, an antibiotic that reduces acne-causing bacteria, and benzoyl peroxide, an antibacterial and exfoliating agent that helps clear clogged pores. This combination is used to treat mild to moderate acne, including inflammatory pimples, whiteheads, and blackheads. Avoid using in adolescents aged 12 years or below.
Clindamycin stops the growth of bacteria that contribute to acne, while benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria and removes dead skin cells and excess oil. Working together, they reduce redness, swelling, and the formation of new breakouts. Because these ingredients act on both bacteria and blocked pores, many patients notice improvement within a few weeks of regular use.
Uses
- Treatment of mild to moderate acne (pimples, whiteheads, blackheads)

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Clindamycin stops the growth of bacteria that contribute to acne, while benzoyl peroxide kills bacteria and removes dead skin cells and excess oil. Working together, they reduce redness, swelling, and the formation of new breakouts. Because these ingredients act on both bacteria and blocked pores, many patients notice improvement within a few weeks of regular use.
Dosage
Overdose
- Using too much Clindamycin + Benzoyl Peroxide can lead to increased skin irritation, redness, peeling, burning, or swelling. Over-application will not speed up results and may worsen dryness or cause skin damage. If a large amount is accidentally swallowed or severe irritation occurs, seek medical advice immediately.
Missed a Dose
If you miss a dose, apply it as soon as you remember. If it’s almost time for your next scheduled application, skip the missed one and continue with your regular routine. Do not apply extra to make up for a missed dose, as this can increase irritation without improving results.
