How Cilacar 10 works
- The active ingredient in this medicine works by:
- blocking L-type calcium channels in blood vessels, helping them relax and widen so that blood can flow more easily.
- blocking N-type calcium channels, which helps reduce sympathetic nerve activity (the nerves involved in the body’s fight-or-flight response, which can increase blood pressure).
- reducing peripheral vascular resistance, thereby lowering blood pressure and decreasing cardiac workload.
