Zylocef Cv Tablets
Description
Zylocef Cv Tablet contains a combination of Cefixime and Clavulanic Acid as active ingredients. Cefixime combats bacterial infections by preventing cell wall synthesis, which ultimately kills the bac
teria. However, some bacteria produce beta-lactamase enzymes that can neutralize Cefixime. Clavulanic acid overcomes this by inactivating these enzymes, thereby allowing Cefixime to work effectively. This is a higher antibiotic meant for the treatment of severe infections.

- Cefixime controls the growth of bacteria and kills them by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial cell wall
- However, the bacteria can make an enzyme (beta-lactamases) which can destroy Cefixime
- Clavulanic acid inactivates this enzyme. This helps Cefixime to function optimally.
