Medical Description
Zincoren eye/ear drop is used for certain bacterial infections of the eye or outer ear, when prescribed for the affected site. It contains a combination of sulfacetamide, sodium chloride, zinc sulphate and boric acid. Sulfacetamide slows bacterial growth, zinc sulphate and boric acid provide local antiseptic support, and sodium chloride helps maintain the solution's salt balance. The drops may ease redness, watering, itching, swelling or irritation caused by susceptible infection. Zincoren eye/ear drops are applied to the eye or ear as directed, and the route should not be changed unless a doctor tells you to.
