Xet Cr 12.5 MG Description

Xet Cr Tablet contains Paroxetine hydrochloride as the active ingredient. It belongs to a group of medications known as Antidepressants. Xet Cr Tablet is used in the treatment of clinical depression,

Anxiety issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, chronic obsessive compulsive disorder. It acts by regulating brain chemicals like serotonin to relieve symptoms which helps improve behaviour, mood and quality of life. Xet Cr Tablet comes in a pack of 10 tablets which are released in the blood over a period of time and are to be taken orally with water with or without food. It can cause side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, dry mouth, sleep problems and excessive sweating. It is generally used in the treatment of adult psychiatric disorders and can be prescribed for children and adolescents with psychiatric issues with caution. All cases should be monitored on a regular basis especially involving teenagers and children due to the tendency to cause agitation, anger issues and increase in manic depressive episodes.

Q: When will Xet Cr Tablet start working for me?

A: Like all psychiatric medications, it will take sometime before it starts working for you. It should take between 2 to 6 weeks to feel the full effects of Xet Cr Tablet from the start of the medication. Do not make any changes in the doses without speaking to your Physician.

Q: Why did my doctor tell me to take Xet Cr Tablet at night?

A: The medication should only be taken as prescribed by your physician. Some doctors prefer prescribing it to be taken at night in order to counter its side-effects like dizziness, sleepiness and fatigue.

Q: When can I stop taking Xet Cr Tablet ?

A: Speak to your doctor if you want to stop taking the medicine. Never stop the medication abruptly and without consulting your doctor as it may cause withdrawal symptoms like sleep issues, increased nervousness, fatigue, uncontrolled muscle tremors and pins and needles and sensation in the skin.
