Triptolol 10 mg/40 mg tablet is a combination medicine comprising Amitriptyline and Propranolol. Amitriptyline belongs to the class of tricyclic antidepressants, while Propranolol is a beta-blocker.

The primary use of Triptolol 10 mg/40 mg tablets is for the treatment of migraines. This medicine helps reduce the transmission of pain to the brain and helps reduce stress and anxiety. Directions for use of Triptolol 10 mg/40 mg tablets should be strictly followed. This medicine should be taken at the dose and for the duration prescribed by the doctor. It should be ideally taken at the same time every day. Sudden stoppage of this medicine is dangerous and can cause withdrawal effects like chest tightness and headaches. Some of the most common side effects of Triptolol 10 mg/40 mg tablet are nausea, vomiting, constipation, decreased sexual desire, drowsiness, and difficulty in urination.
