How does this medicine work?

Bacteria need to make certain proteins in order to grow and multiply. tobramycin blocks the bacteria from making these proteins, so they cannot survive or spread. As the bacteria clear, the redness, discharge, and irritation of the infection settle down.

Interactions

Interactions with other medicines

Some medicines can change the way Tobacin eye/ear drop works, and it can affect how a few others work. Tell your doctor about all the medicines you use, including any other eye or ear drops and anything bought without a prescription. In particular, mention any other drops you use, and leave at least a few minutes between different products so they do not wash each other out.
