Tezz Tablet helps alleviate the symptoms of a common cold, including runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and congestion (stuffiness) of the nose. It relieves nasal congestion, which helps in making breathing easier. Additionally, it assists in relieving symptoms of allergy such as a runny nose and watery eyes, lower fever, and relieves general body aches associated with colds.
Tezz Tablet primarily consists of caffeine, chlorpheniramine maleate, paracetamol, and pseudoephedrine as active ingredients. Due to the presence of caffeine in this medicine, it does not make you sleepy. As a result, you'll find it easier to get through your everyday routine. Drink plenty of lukewarm water and gargle with warm salt water in addition to your medicines to feel better.
Tezz Tablet can be taken with or without meals, according to the doctor's instructions regarding dosage and duration. However, to avoid stomach distress, it should be taken with food. Let your doctor know about all other medications you are taking, as some may affect or be affected by this medicine.

Talk to your doctor if
- You are taking any additional cold medicines.
- You are taking antidepressants.
- Your symptoms do not improve after 7 days of treatment, or if you develop a fast, pounding, or irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness or anxiety, severe headache, fever, or rash.
- You experience side effects that are persistent. Most of the side effects of Tezz tablets will go away as your body adjusts to the medication.
- You have a kidney or liver illness, you should tell your doctor before taking Tezz Tablets so that your doctor can prescribe an appropriate dose regimen for you.
Directions for Use
- Take Tezz tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor.
- Take it at the same time regularly.
- Take this tablet as a whole, with glass or water. Do not crush, chew or break it into pieces.
- It can be taken at any time of the day but should preferably be taken at a fixed time.
- It can be taken with or without food.
Storage and disposal
Tezz tablet should be kept at room temperature, out of direct sunlight and away from heat. If the package insert specifies, do not freeze medicines. Children and pets should not have access to this medicine.

Overdose
- Tezz tablet overdose can cause symptoms like dizziness, tremors, agitation, nausea, vomiting, hypotension, increased or decreased heart rate, sleep disturbances, confusion etc. If you overdose on Tezz tablet and experience any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a nearby hospital
Missed a Dose
If you have missed a dose of Tezz tablet, take it as soon as possible. If you remember missing a dose when it's already time to take the next dose, skip the missed dose and take the next one. Talk to your doctor if you have any confusion about it. Do not take both doses together as it can cause an overdose.
Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Tezz tablet consists of caffeine, chlorpheniramine maleate, paracetamol and pseudoephedrine. Chlorpheniramine is an antihistamine that helps to reduce allergy symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing. Paracetamol is an analgesic (pain relieving agent) and an antipyretic (fever lowering agent), which prevents the brain from releasing particular chemical signals that result in pain and fever. Caffeine enhances the efficacy of paracetamol and reduces diphenhydramine-induced tiredness. Pseudoephedrine is a decongestant that works by narrowing the tiny blood vessels in the nose to relieve congestion and stuffiness.
All the constituents of Tezz Tablet collectively work by raising the pain threshold and increasing the blood flow across the skin, as well as heat loss and sweating. They also inhibit the H1-receptor sites on tissues, narrow down the blood vessels and help in reducing the swelling in the nasal passages.

- Tell your doctor and pharmacist about any prescription and non-prescription medications, herbal products, vitamins and nutritional supplements, you are taking or plan to take as there is a chance of drug interaction.
- Many medicines can interact with components of Tezz tablet, making it less effective or increasing side effects. These include Cardiac glycosides, Antipsychotics medicine, Fluoroquinolones, Disulfiram, Cimetidine, Ephedrine, Ketoconazole.
- All these mentioned medicines may interact and can increase the side effects or may decrease the efficacy of your medicine.
Interactions with food items
- You can continue with the usual diet as food doesn’t influence the effect of Tezz tablets. Talk to your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking before using this medicine.
