Medical Description
Staxon injection is an antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections such as pneumonia, meningitis, urinary tract infections and bloodstream infections. It contains ceftriaxone, which stops susceptible bacteria from building the protective cell wall they need to survive. This helps control the infection and prevent it from spreading. Staxon injection is given into a vein or muscle by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic, and it is not for self-injection.
