- Coadministration of this medication with antidepressants, antipsychotics or barbiturates may cause severe adverse effects with this medication
- Concomitant use of non-prescription cold and cough preparations like chlorpheniramine may lead to intensified side effects
- Anti-epilepsy medicines should be avoided as it increases the chances of having severe side effects
