• If you are allergic to sevelamer or any other ingredients of Sevcar 400 Tablet.
• If you have difficulty passing stools.
• If you have low levels of phosphorus.

Other General Warnings

• You have undergone major stomach or bowel surgery.
• You experience problems with bowel movements (digestion issues).
• You have difficulty swallowing foods or liquids.
• You suffer from severe stomach pain or intestinal disorders.
• You notice blood in your stools (gastrointestinal bleeding).
• You have a condition where the parathyroid gland becomes overactive, leading to increased calcium levels (hyperparathyroidism), and when the thyroid gland does not produce enough thyroid hormone (hypothyroidism).
• During treatment, you may develop deficiencies in vitamins A, D, E, K, and folic acid in your blood, and your doctor may monitor these levels.

• Sevcar 400 Tablet should be taken as directed by your doctor.
• Swallow it whole with a glass of water; do not cut, break or chew the medicine.
• It is best to take it at a fixed time for optimal results.
• You should not consume it more than that prescribed by your doctor.

• Store Sevcar 400 Tablets at room temperature, protected from moisture and heat.
• Keep them out of reach and sight of children and pets.

• Sevcar 400 Tablet can reduce the effect of the antibiotic ciprofloxacin when used together.
• Medicines used for heart rhythm problems or epilepsy, such as amiodarone, quinidine, and phenytoin, should be administered at least 1 hour before and 3 hours after the Sevcar 400 Tablet.
• Medicines used to treat acidity, like omeprazole, pantoprazole, or lansoprazole, may interfere with the efficacy of this Tablet on concomitant use.
• This medicine can reduce the effectiveness of medicines that act on the immune system, such as ciclosporin, mycophenolate mofetil, and tacrolimus, when used simultaneously.
• Close monitoring of hormone levels is recommended when this medicine is taken in combination with levothyroxine to treat low thyroid hormone levels.
