Medical Description
Serenace Tablet belongs to a class of medications known as antipsychotics. It contains Haloperidol, which treats certain mental/mood disorders (psychosis, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorders) and Tourette Syndrome. It works by preventing dopamine, a chemical messenger in the human brain that influences thoughts and emotions, from acting.
Schizophrenia is a mental disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally. Schizophrenic patients experience hallucinations, delusions, and extremely disordered thinking and behaviour, impairing daily functioning and disabling. Tourette disorder is a neurological ailment characterised by uncontrollable repeated motions, noises, or tics.
Serenace Tablet can be taken with or without food or prescribed. The dose and duration of the medicine should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. You must not skip any doses and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. This medication is not stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as it may worsen your symptoms and show withdrawal symptoms.
Before taking medicine, talk to your doctor if you have thyroid or renal issues, epilepsy, glaucoma, Parkinson's disease, or any heart issues. Directions for Use of Serenace 5 MG

Overdose
