Sedoril syrup is a combination medicine used to relieve dry cough and symptoms of common cold, such as nasal blockage, runny nose, sneezing and watery eyes. It contains chlorpheniramine maleate, an antiallergic medicine; dextromethorphan hydrobromide, a cough suppressant; and phenylephrine, a decongestant. Dextromethorphan reduces the urge to cough, chlorpheniramine eases allergy symptoms, and phenylephrine narrows swollen blood vessels in the nose to improve stuffiness. Sedoril syrup is taken by mouth as a measured liquid and should be used only as directed by a healthcare professional.
