Uses
- Pain
- Swelling and inflammation in conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
- Muscle and back pain, toothache, or pain in the ear and throat
- Ulcers
Contraindications
- If you have a known allergy to diclofenac, and other NSAIDs, Misoprostol, or other prostaglandin medicines.
- If you have an active ulcer in the stomach or intestines.
- If you have diseases like Asthma, Heart failure, Liver disease, Kidney disease, Gastrointestinal bleeding etc.
- Safeguard Tablet is also not recommended for relieving pain before, during, or after a coronary artery bypass graft procedure.

Interactions with other medicines
- Methotrexate is in a class of medications called antimetabolites. It can increase methotrexate toxicity in the body.
- Ramipril is a prodrug belonging to the angiotensin-converting enzyme with this medicine can increase severe adverse effects in the body.
- Ketorolac is a class of medications called NSAIDs; can increase the toxicity level in the body.
- Adefovir is in a class of medications called nucleoside analogues; can cause side effects in the body.
- Dinoprostone is in the prostaglandin class of drugs; can increase the severe toxicity level in the body.
