How Does It Work?
- Rosukem A Capsule works by the combined action of Acetylsalicylic Acid and Rosuvastatin.
- Acetylsalicylic Acid works by stopping the platelets from forming a clot so that the blood can flow easily and without any obstruction.
- Rosuvastatin works by inhibiting or blocking an enzyme which is needed in the body to make cholesterol, reducing the bad cholesterol and increasing the good cholesterol in the blood.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect how Rosukem A Capsule functions, or this medicine itself can diminish the effectiveness of other medicines when taken concurrently. Inform your doctor about all the medicines, supplements, or herbal products you are currently taking or may consider taking to prevent any possible interactions.
- Rosukem A Capsule must not be used alongside methotrexate (used in cancer treatment) as it could be harmful when used together. Avoid taking this capsule with fusidic acid (a medication for bacterial infections), as simultaneous treatment can lead to serious muscle problems.
- You may be at an increased risk of muscle damage or severe side effects if taken with cyclosporine, gemfibrozil, fenofibrate, tacrolimus, or ezetimibe. Therefore, caution is advised. The concurrent use of this capsule with medications like probenecid (used to treat gout) is not recommended, as it may alter the effects of probenecid.
- Blood thinners such as warfarin and heparin, as well as medications used to treat pain and inflammation like aspirin, ibuprofen, and naproxen, can increase the risk of bleeding.
- Medications used to treat stomach acidity, such as antacids, should not be taken within at least two hours of this capsule.
- Metamizole (a painkiller) interferes with how this capsule works; thus, concurrent use should be avoided. Exercise caution when using this capsule alongside oral contraceptives or during hormone replacement therapy.
- Other medicines such as lithium, digoxin, ritonavir, erythromycin, and potassium supplements (amiloride, spironolactone) should be used with care in conjunction with Rosukem A Capsule.
