Ropnol C tablet is a prescription medication used for managing anxiety disorder. It contains Clonazepam and Propranolol as its active ingredients. Together, these medicines help manage anxiety symptoms such as high blood pressure, increased heart rate, panic disorder, etc.

Overdose

In case of an overdose or if experiencing any of these symptoms, seek immediate medical treatment from the nearest medical centre.
Missed a Dose
If you have missed a dose of the Ropnol C tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it's already time for your next dose, then skip the missed one and take the current dose on schedule. Do not take a double dose, as this can cause you to overdose. Discuss with your doctor in case of any confusion about the dosage.
Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
Ropnol C tablets contain two active ingredients, Clonazepam and Propranolol. Clonazepam belongs to a class of medicines called benzodiazepines or tranquilisers (medicines that lower the excess activity of the brain). It binds with the brain receptors that increase GABA (Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid) activity, a chemical messenger in the brain. This helps improve the effects of GABA, which in turn suppresses abnormal electrical activity in nerve cells. Proper administration of this medicine has calming effects on the body.
Propranolol is a beta-blocker (a medicine that lowers stress on the heart and blood vessels). It works by blocking certain chemical messengers like epinephrine, which helps in lowering blood pressure, heart rate, and stress on the heart.

- Antidepressants or mood-elevating medicines, when mixed with Ropnol C tablets, can cause adverse effects.
- Ropnol C tablets can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives or birth control pills, leading to unplanned pregnancies.
- Do not mix Ropnol C tablets with other medicines such as antihistamines (allergy medicine), cough medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxants, and other sleep-inducing medicines, as it can increase drowsiness, fatigue, etc.

- Avoid taking grapefruit or its juice. It reduces the effect of Ropnol C tablets.
