Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip is a prescription medication. The primary use of the Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip is to treat migraine in patients with or without aura. Migraine is a
neurological disorder that causes intense pulsating, pounding, throbbing, debilitating headaches. It usually occurs on any one side of the head. But sometimes, it can occur on both sides or shift in position. The main component of this medication is rizatriptan. The mode of action of Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strips is to narrow the blood vessels in the brain, which can provide relief from migraine headaches. It can also lower the levels of certain substances in the body, which can trigger headaches, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and other symptoms of migraine. Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip does not prevent or lower the frequency of migraine attacks. It only helps manage the headache that has already begun. There are a few common side effects of the Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip, such as dizziness, tiredness, diarrhoea, sleepiness, dry mouth, vomiting, etc. Most of them do not require any medical attention.

Uses
- The Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip is indicated for managing acute migraine headaches with or without aura in adults and in children from ages 6 to 17 years
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to the active or inactive ingredients of Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip
- If you have a cluster headache.
- If you have not been correctly diagnosed with migraine.
- If you have a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack (few small strokes).
- If you have a history of ischemic heart disease or coronary artery vasospasm.
- If you are women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.
- If you have uncontrolled low blood pressure.
- If you have peripheral vascular disease (condition of blood vessels).
- If you are diagnosed with ischemic bowel disease.
- If you have any skeletal muscle disorders (e.g., myopathy and rhabdomyolysis), the dose should be monitored.
- If you have any severe bleeding disorder, this medicine increases the risk of bleeding.
- If you have used antidepressants known as MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days.
- If you had heart rhythm disorders.
- If you experience any bleeding in the brain or stroke.
- If you are using any other medicine that increases serotonin, which can lead to serotonin syndrome and life-threatening side effects.

- You have been diagnosed with gastrointestinal ischemic events (blood flow through the major arteries that supply blood to your intestines slows or stops)
- You experience peripheral vasospastic reactions (sudden contraction of the muscular walls of an artery)
- You experience head ache due to overuse of the medication. Detoxification may be necessary in such cases.

Directions for Use
- Take Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
- Make sure your hands are dry before handling Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip.
- Place Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip on your tongue and allow it to dissolve completely.
- Do not chew, crush, or swallow it whole. It will dissolve on its own, and water is not required.
- Take it as soon as migraine symptoms begin, or as advised by your doctor.
- Do not take more than the prescribed dose in a day.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Avoid ergotamine or ergot derivative medicines along with Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strips. They can have additive effects, which can increase the risk of high blood pressure and constriction of arteries of the heart (coronary artery vasoconstriction). ...
- Do not use monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI) along with these medicines. They can increase serotonin levels in the body, which can lead to many severe side effects such as high blood pressure, irritation, drowsiness, lethargy, etc. A minimum gap of 2 weeks should be maintained between them....
