The mode of action of Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strips is to narrow the blood vessels in the brain, which can provide relief from migraine headaches. It can also lower the levels of certain substances in the body, which can trigger headaches, sensitivity to light and sound, nausea, and other symptoms of migraine. Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip does not prevent or lower the frequency of migraine attacks. It only helps manage the headache that has already begun. Uses
- The Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip is indicated for managing acute migraine headaches with or without aura in adults and in children from ages 6 to 17 years
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to the active or inactive ingredients of Rizora Ods Orally Disintegrating Strip
- If you have a cluster headache.
- If you have not been correctly diagnosed with migraine.
- If you have a history of stroke or transient ischemic attack (few small strokes).
- If you have a history of ischemic heart disease or coronary artery vasospasm.
- If you are women who are pregnant, may become pregnant, or currently breastfeeding.
- If you have uncontrolled low blood pressure.
- If you have peripheral vascular disease (condition of blood vessels).
- If you are diagnosed with ischemic bowel disease.
- If you have any skeletal muscle disorders (e.g., myopathy and rhabdomyolysis), the dose should be monitored.
- If you have any severe bleeding disorder, this medicine increases the risk of bleeding.
- If you have used antidepressants known as MAO inhibitors in the last 14 days.
- If you had heart rhythm disorders.
- If you experience any bleeding in the brain or stroke.
- If you are using any other medicine that increases serotonin, which can lead to serotonin syndrome and life-threatening side effects.
