Rasby 1000/500 Mg Infusion 1

• If you have a history of anaphylaxis or severe allergic reaction to rasburicase.
• If you have previously developed haemolysis (red blood cell breakdown) or methemoglobinemia with rasburicase.
• If you have glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency.

• Vomiting and nausea
• Fever
• Swelling of the hands, feet, or ankles (peripheral oedema)
• Anxiety, headache
• Stomach pain, constipation, loose motions (diarrhoea)
• Sore throat or pain when swallowing
• Low phosphate levels and raised liver enzymes on routine blood tests

• Immediately report signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as chest tightness, wheezing, difficulty breathing, swelling, or hives, as these may indicate anaphylaxis.
• Signs of red blood cell breakdown (haemolysis), such as unusual tiredness, pale skin, dark urine, or shortness of breath.
• Signs of methemoglobinemia, such as bluish or greyish skin colour, fatigue, or shortness of breath.
• Other serious reactions, including seizures, may occur rarely.

Other General Warnings

• You have or think you may have G6PD deficiency.
• You have a history of allergic reactions to any medicines.
• You notice unusual bruising, bleeding, or signs of infection.
• You develop symptoms such as unusual tiredness, breathlessness, or a change in skin colour during or after treatment.
• You are scheduled to have a blood test for uric acid, as special sample handling is required during and shortly after treatment.

• Rasby injection is administered by a doctor or trained nurse as an intravenous infusion in the dose and schedule prescribed by your doctor in a hospital or clinic setting.
• Rasby injection must never be given as a rapid injection (bolus) into the vein.
• Patients should never attempt to change, delay, skip, or repeat a dose on their own.

• Store the Rasby injection in a refrigerator, protected from light.
• Do not freeze.
• Keep the medicine out of the reach of children and pets.
• Rasby injection is handled and disposed of safely by healthcare professionals according to appropriate hospital procedures.

• Report any signs of allergic reaction, such as chest tightness, wheezing, or swelling, to your doctor or nurse immediately.
• Watch for and immediately report signs of red blood cell breakdown, such as unusual tiredness, pale skin, or dark urine, and tell your doctor promptly.
• Watch for and immediately report bluish or greyish skin colour or unexplained shortness of breath, which may indicate methemoglobinemia.
• Attend all scheduled blood tests as your doctor recommends, as these help monitor your uric acid levels and overall safety.
• Inform your doctor if you have G6PD deficiency or have not been tested when testing is appropriate, as rasburicase can cause serious haemolysis in people with G6PD deficiency.

Overdose

• No specific antidote is available for Rasby injection overdose.
• Overdose is unlikely because it is administered by a doctor or nurse in a hospital setting.
• If an overdose occurs, supportive treatment and appropriate monitoring should be provided by healthcare professionals.

Missed a Dose

• Contact your doctor if you miss a dose.
• Do not attempt to make up a missed dose without medical advice.

Interactions with other medicines

• Blood tests: Rasburicase can continue breaking down uric acid in a blood sample after it is collected, which may give a falsely low uric acid result. Blood samples should be properly cooled and tested promptly as instructed by the laboratory.
• Tell your doctor about all medicines, vitamins, supplements, and herbal products you take.
