Ramcor 2.5 MG Description
Ramcor 2.5 capsule is an antihypertensive medication. It is used to lower high blood pressure. It is also used to reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke. Ramcor 2.5 capsule contains ramipril as
the active substance. It works by relaxing the blood vessels and decreasing the production of certain substances in the body, increasing blood pressure. Along with taking this medicine, it is recommended to make specific lifestyle changes like eating a balanced diet, reducing salt intake, exercising regularly, and avoiding smoking and alcohol to control your blood pressure levels. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration recommended by your doctor. Do not take more than the prescribed dose. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Ramcor 2.5 capsule, inform your doctor if you are pregnant, planning on becoming pregnant, breastfeeding and about your complete medical history.

- Ramcor 2.5 capsule is used for lowering increased blood pressure.
- It is also used to reduce the risk of a heart attack or stroke.
Contraindications of Ramcor 2.5 MG
- If you are allergic to ramipril, any other ACE inhibitors, or any other ingredient of Ramcor 2.5 capsule.
- If you have a history of allergic reaction called angioedema (swelling of lips, tongue, throat, itching, red marks on hands and feet).
- If you have taken or are taking sacubitril/valsartan for the management of heart failure in adults. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
- If you are on dialysis or any other type of blood filtration.
- If you have a condition called renal artery stenosis where the blood supply to your kidney is reduced.
- If you are more than 3 months pregnant.
- If your blood pressure is abnormally low or unstable.
- If you have diabetes or kidney disorder and you are treated with a blood pressure lowering medicine containing aliskiren.

- Amiloride, spironolactone, or triamterene, which increase urine output can increase potassium levels when used along with this medicine.
- Caution should be exercised when using antibiotics like trimethoprim alone or with sulfamethoxazole as it may increase potassium levels.
