  • This medicine should not be used in patients below 18 years of age.
  • Any other condition in which use of Acebrophylline or acetylcysteine when taken alone is contraindicated.

How Does It Work?

  • Acebrophylline works by relaxing the smooth muscles of airways and induces the release of pulmonary surfactants which helps in the clearance of congestion.
  • Acetylcysteine breaks down and loosens thick phlegm, making it runny and easy to cough up and clears the airway.

A: Nitroglycerine is a medicine which is used in conditions like heart failure, chest pain due to the reduced blood supply to the heart. Pulmoclear tablet can further lower the blood pressure by increasing the blood pressure-lowering effect of Nitroglycerin. Thus it should not be used along.

Q: Can I use Pulmoclear along with activated charcoal?

A: Activated charcoal can decrease the effect of this medicine by absorbing the medicine and can lead to reduced effects. Thus it should not be used along with activated charcoal.
