Medical Description

Promag Injection is a progesterone hormone medicine used in selected fertility treatment and hormone replacement therapy. It contains natural micronized progesterone, a form of the hormone that supports the uterine lining after ovulation and helps prepare it for pregnancy. Progesterone also limits excessive thickening of the uterine lining caused by estrogen, so it can help restore hormonal support when periods are absent or support an early pregnancy in selected situations. Promag Injection is given by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic and must not be self-injected.

Uses

  • Hormone replacement therapy: Used with an estrogen medicine, progesterone helps protect the uterine lining in women who still have a uterus.
  • Absent menstrual periods: Progesterone may help restore periods when they are absent because the body does not produce enough progesterone.
