Prolet 25 tablet is an anti-convulsant or anti-epileptic medicine. It is used for the treatment and prevention of seizures (fits) in people who suffer from epilepsy. Epilepsy is a neurological disord

er characterised by abnormal behaviour & sensation, loss of consciousness and uncontrolled movements. Prolet 25 tablet contains Primidone as its active ingredient. It acts by reducing the abnormal electrical activity of neurons in the brain. Few people develop thoughts of self-harm after taking this medicine or similar medicines, inform your doctor immediately if at any time you have these thoughts. Prolet 25 tablet should be taken as directed by the doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Prolet 25 tablet is used to prevent episodes of a certain type of seizure (fits) in patients with epilepsy.

Contraindications of Prolet 25 MG

If you are allergic to primidone or any other ingredient of Prolet 25 tablet.
If you have a blood-related disorder called porphyria.

Can I take the Prolet 25 tablet while breastfeeding?

Primidone passes into the breastmilk and may make your baby sleepy. Take your doctor's advice if you are breastfeeding.

Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Prolet 25 tablets?

Prolet 25 tablet can make you feel dizzy. It is not advised to drive after taking this medicine.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with the Prolet 25 tablet?

You should not consume alcohol with Prolet 25 tablet.

You ever had respiratory, kidney or liver-related problems.
You are pregnant or are trying to become pregnant.
You are getting thoughts of killing or harming yourself after taking this medicine, immediately consult your doctor.
Frequency of your seizures increases or if seizures of a different type appear.
You develop ulcers in the mouth, throat, nose, genitals and conjunctivitis (red and swollen eyes) after taking this medicine.
You experience any kind of rashes, blisters on your skin after taking this medicine.
