Prenatal tablet is a dietary supplement containing a combination of vitamins and minerals. It is scientifically formulated to provide key vitamins and minerals for daily nutritional support to both pregnant women and women who are trying to conceive. Folic acid is required for the formation of babies' brains and spine in early pregnancy. Folic acid and methylcobalamin are required for the formation of red blood cells, DNA synthesis and neuronal functions. Adequate levels of these two components reduce a woman’s risk of having a child with a neural tube defect.
Iron is a vital mineral required for red blood cell formation and essential for delivering oxygen to cells throughout the body. Deficiency of iron can lead to anaemia during pregnancy.
Vitamin B6 plays a role in immune function and many other metabolic reactions. It helps prevent nausea in pregnancy.
Niacin, zinc and selenium have many roles in the body such as immunity, reproduction, the functioning of many hormones. It also helps prevent birth defects in the growing foetus.
