Folic acid and methylcobalamin are required for the formation of red blood cells, DNA synthesis and neuronal functions. - Iron is a vital mineral required for red blood cell formation and essential for delivering oxygen to cells throughout the body. Deficiency of iron can lead to anaemia during pregnancy.
