Pentanerv M 100mg Strip Of 10 Tablets Description
Pentanerv M Tablet consists of two medications, namely, gabapentin and methyl cobalamin. This tablet is used to manage lasting pain post-shingles infection, also known as postherpetic neuralgia. It i
s also used in the management of seizures or fits. In patients with seizures, gabapentin helps reduce the abnormal excitement in the brain. In patients with neuropathic pain, gabapentin changes how the body senses pain. Vitamin B12 regenerates nerve cells and decreases nerve firing, which helps in reducing pain. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless recommended by a doctor. In addition, this medicine is not recommended in children below 3 years of age. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice any unusual side effects after taking this medicine.

- Do not crush, chew, or break the tablets
Interactions of Pentanerv M 100mg Strip Of 10 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of morphine increases blood levels of gabapentin
- Concomitant use of antacids or oral contraceptives reduces blood levels of gabapentin
- Concomitant use of para-amino salicylic acid, neomycin, cholestyramine, potassium chloride, colchicine, biguanides, methyldopa, or cimetidine
- Concomitant use of chloramphenicol lowers effectiveness of Pentanerv Tablet
