Description

Contraindications
- If your child is allergic to cefpodoxime or any of the ingredients of this medicine.
- If your child has a history of severe allergic reactions to any other antibiotic, such as cephalosporins. If you are unsure about which of these medicines to take, ask your doctor.

Storage and disposal
- Store Pedicef syrup at temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect it from light and moisture.
- Store the reconstituted suspension in the refrigerator.

Overdose

Missed a Dose
If you have missed giving any dose of Pedicef syrup, then give it as soon as you remember. If it's already time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose and follow the regular dosing schedule.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Some medicines can affect the way Pedicef syrup works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interactions.
- Concomitant use of acid-lowering medicines such as Ranitidine, Cimetidine with Pedicef syrup can decrease the effect of this medicine.
- Concomitant use of Probenecid with Pedicef syrup increases the effect of this medicine.
- When medicines known to cause harm to the kidney such as amphotericin-B, vancomycin, amikacin are administered along with Pedicef syrup may increase the risk of kidney disease.
