Pcm Injection is a medicine used for relieving pain and reducing fever. It contains paracetamol. Pcm is used in short term treatment of pain especially after surgery and for fever when medicines can

not be taken orally by the patient. Paracetamol works by interfaring with release of certain natural chemical substance (prostaglandins) and relieves pain & fever. This Injection is given under medical supervision in a helthcare set up. Tell your doctor about your complete medical history befor taking this injection.

Uses of Pcm 150 MG

Pcm Injection is used for short term treatment of pain especially post operative pain and fever when oral adminstration is not possible.

Contraindications of Pcm 150 MG

If you are allergic to paracetamol or any ingredients of Pcm Injection.
If you have serious liver disease or dysfunction.

Pain and burning sensation at the site of injection.

Pregnancy

Can I take Pcm Injection during pregnancy?

Pcm Injection can be used during pregnancy if the doctor recommends. Yet, it should be used for a short duration in low doses and should not be used too frequently by pregnant women.

Breast Feeding

Can I take Pcm Injection while breastfeeding?

Paracetamol passes into breastmilk in small amount. Pcm Injection can be used during breastfeeding, if advised by your treating doctor.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken Pcm Injection?

Paracetamol is not likely to affect your ability to drive or use machines.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Pcm Injection?

It is advised not to consume alcohol during the treatment. Especially if you have an existing liver condition and you drink too often.

Other General Warnings

Talk to your doctor if

You have serious liver or kidney disease.
You are taking any other medicines or products that contain paracetamol, taking too much of the same can cause liver damage.
You consume alcohol too often or you are malnourished or dehydrated.
