Medical Description
Panderm++ cream is used to treat inflammation and swelling in various skin conditions suspected of bacterial, fungal, or mixed infections. This cream helps reduce symptoms like redness, swelling, and itchiness. Panderm Plus Plus contains a combination of three medicines: clobetasol, neomycin, and miconazole. Clobetasol is a steroid with anti-inflammatory properties. Neomycin is an antibacterial agent, and miconazole is an antifungal agent.
Panderm Plus Plus cream should only be used externally and must not be applied to other skin conditions without consulting your doctor. Apply it exactly as recommended by your doctor. Wash your hands after applying Panderm++ cream. Avoid contact with this cream in the eyes.
The medicines Clobenate Gm cream and Lucobet Gm cream also contain clobetasol, neomycin, and miconazole. Keep the infected or affected area clean and avoid touching healthy skin after applying Panderm Plus Plus cream to prevent the spread of infection. You may experience some reactions at the application site as side effects of Panderm++ cream, but they usually diminish over time. Please inform your doctor if you notice the side effects persist or worsen.

Mode of Action
How Does It Work?
- During inflammation or infection of the skin, the body releases some chemical substances which make the skin red, itchy and swollen.
- Clobetasol is a steroid that acts by blocking the synthesis of natural substances, i.e. prostaglandins, which are responsible for itching, swelling and redness.
- Miconazole works by inhibiting the formation of a fungal cell wall component, which leads to altered permeability and growth of fungus, causing infection.
- Neomycin is an antibiotic agent which is widely used for treating various bacterial infections of the skin. It works by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of bacteria causing infection.
- Collectively, all these medicines work more effectively by reducing infection and inflammation of the skin.
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Panderm ++ cream is for local application on the skin and thus is less likely to interact with other medicines taken orally. However, it may interact with other topically applied medicines. Discuss with your doctor if you are already on another topical medicine.
- Be cautious if you are taking antifungal medicines like itraconazole, ritonavir, which is used in HIV infection, antibiotics such as erythromycin, blood-thinning agents like warfarin and verapamil used in heart problems.
