Okamycin 500 MG Description

Okamycin Tablet is an antibiotic used to treat infections caused by the bacteria, such as infections of the lungs, airways, throat, ear, intestine, reproductive tract, urinary tract and skin infectio

ns. It contains erythromycin as its active substance that belongs to the macrolide class of antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria, thereby preventing the spread of infection. Take this Tablet as prescribed by your doctor and for the exact prescribed duration. You should take this medicine with or after food to avoid stomach upset. You should always complete the prescribed course of the treatment. Incomplete treatment may result in treatment failure, increased risk of re-infection or developing antibiotic resistance. While on this medicine, you may experience side effects like diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting and headache. If you feel the side effects persist or your condition worsens, you should contact your doctor immediately.
