Medical Description
Ocid IV Dry powder for injection is used to reduce stomach acid when treatment by mouth is not suitable, including certain ulcers, reflux disease and conditions with excessive acid production. It contains omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor that blocks the stomach's final acid-producing step. This lowers acid reaching the stomach and digestive tract, helping acid-damaged tissue heal and reducing irritation. After the powder is prepared, Ocid injection is given slowly into a vein by a doctor or nurse in a hospital or clinic.
