Obetohep is used to treat a liver disease called primary biliary cirrhosis, also known as primary biliary cholangitis. The active ingredient of Obetohep is obeticholic acid.

Mode of Action of Obetohep 10 MG
How Does It Work?
Obeticholic acid works by improving the live function by reducing the formation of bile in liver and also reducing inflammation.
Directions for Use of Obetohep 10 MG
The dosage of Obetohep should be taken as per the advice of your doctor. Always ask your doctor. Swallow the tablet as whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew the tablet.
Interactions of Obetohep 10 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Warfarin: International normalised ratio of warfarin is decreased when given in combination. Dose adjustment is needed
- CYP1A2 substrates : Exposure to CYP1A2 substrates medicines may increase when coadmistrated with Obetohep
- Cyclosporine and other medicine of this class: Coadministration with cyclosporine may cause clinical symptoms

- Keep the medicine out of the reach of children as well as pets
- Store this medicine at normal conditions and away from direct heat, sunlight and excess moisture
- Follow medical waste management protocol in the disposal of this medicine
Dosage of Obetohep 10 MG
Overdose
Overdose may lead to some side effects including damage of liver duct, jaundice, high pressure in portal veins, rise in liver test values, and fluid formation in your abdomen. Consult with the doctor if you have taken this medicine at higher dose than prescribed.....
Missed a Dose
Please take the missed dose as soon as you realise about the missed dose. But if you realise this near the time of second dose, take next dose only. Avoid doubling your dose.
