Nildep Tablet is a tricyclic antidepressant primarily used in treating depression. Other uses of Nildep Tablet are in treating bedwetting in children above the age of six and in treating depression t
hat is nonresponsive. Nildep Tablet acts by elevating the levels of chemical messengers in the brain that improves your mood. Take it before bedtime, as Nildep Tablet can make you feel drowsy. Take it with food or an empty stomach. The dosage and duration of the Nildep Tablet will be decided by the psychiatrist so that you get a sufficient quantity to reduce your symptoms. Common side effects of Nildep Tablet include increased heart rate, blurred vision, dry mouth, painful urination, and constipation. It may even cause vertigo and drowsiness; do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus. If you've been sitting or lying down, slowly stand to reduce the risk of dizziness. Some people may gain weight as a result of it. The majority of typical side effects are minimal and only last a short time. If side effects worry you or do not go away, your doctor may be able to advise strategies to prevent or reduce them.

Contraindications of Nildep 50 MG
- If you are allergic to Imipramine or any other substance in this medication.
- If you have had a heart attack.
- If you have narrow-angle glaucoma.
- If you have taken MAOIs (Monoamine oxidase inhibitors) within the last 14 days.
- If you have had depression, mania or bipolar disorder.
- If you are on medication for renal impairment.
- If you have active liver problems.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Nildep 50 MG
- Follow your doctor's directions for taking Nildep Tablets.
- This medicine needs to be swallowed, not to be crushed, broken, powdered or cut.
- Take a whole tablet of Nildep Tablet with a glass of water and swallow it.
- It is a non-chewable tablet, so do not chew it.
- Before starting this tablet, read all the instructions printed on the leaflet or label.
- Try to follow a routine and set a time to take a tablet each day.
- Ensure to check the expiry date on the strip of tablets.
- If you wish to stop taking the medication, talk to your doctor first as the dose is lowered before you stop completely.

Interactions with other medicines
- Opioids such as morphine, codeine, tramadol, and hydrocodone and any cough treatments containing these medications should be avoided when taking Nildep Tablet. Coadministration can cause sedation, dyspnea, and changes in blood pressure....
- Antihypertensives and Nildep Tablet interact, leading to hypotension symptoms such as dizziness and lightheadedness.
- Antidiabetic medications like Glimepiride may be affected by Nildep Tablet. After taking these medications, it can cause hypoglycemia symptoms like dizziness, headache, or weakness.
- Ondansetron and Nildep Tablets, when taken together, increase the risk of cardiac problems.
