• Wet your hair and scalp thoroughly. Apply enough shampoo to cover the scalp and massage it in gently.

• Other scalp treatments: Tell your doctor about any other medicated shampoo, lotion, or oil you use on your scalp so they don't combine treatments in a way that irritates the skin.
• Very little ketoconazole is absorbed through the skin when you use this shampoo as directed, so interactions with medicines taken by mouth are unlikely. Tell your doctor about all medicines, supplements, and herbal products you take.
